Campground Policies

Welcome! To ensure a pleasant stay, please take a moment to read our Campground rules.

 

Campground/Cabin Season:

*May 10 - October 15, 2024

STARTING JANUARY 1 OF CURRENT SEASON:
         50% of total stay due at booking. Balance due at check in.


*CANCELLATION/REFUND POLICY
         Cancel 30 days or more prior to arrival: 
                      1 - 7 
night stay - All monies minus the $100 NON-REFUNDABLE DEPOSIT  
                      8 - night stay or more - All monies minus the $200 NON-REFUNDABLE DEPOSIT

            Cancel
between 30 days and 11 days prior to arrival:
                      1 - 7 night stay - $100 NON-REFUNDABLE plus 1/2 of deposit monies
                      8 - night stay or more - $200 NON-REFUNDABLE plus 1/2 of deposit monies

             Cancel 10
 or less prior to arrival:
                      NO refund of any monies

- PLEASE CALL BY 6 PM TO GIVE US YOUR ETA. If you are not here by dark, please understand we may have no alternative but to ask you to stay in the upper camp store parking lot so as not to disturb other campers.
 

*NON-REFUNDABLE CHANGE FEE

  • If you change your reservation a $25 fee will be assessed UNLESS you increase your stay with your change request.

  • If you have more than one site on your reservation (for an additional party), you will be charged a $25/site fee.

  • There is no carry over of credit to following years and we do not change reservations in the 7 day window.

 

*SCHEDULING A RESERVATION:

  • Using our online booking (Firefly) there is a non-refundable book fee $3.50.

  • Lock-in fee $20. This fee will allow you to secure the campsite you have selected without fear of shifts in the campground schedule.

  • If you stay 2 nights or less, Acadia Seashore reserves the right to move you from the site you have booked, to any like site (power and water, full hook up, etc) for optimum scheduling purposes.

  • 3-night minimum stay on ALL holiday weeks.

  • Call or email a reservation request if you would like help selecting your site OR if you need to change your reservation in any way!

 

*CAMPSITE RESTRICTIONS:

  • All camp sites are 2 Adults and 2 children per site. Any number over that restriction is considered additional adults @ $6/night, additional children @ $4/per night. 

  • The maximum capacity for each site is factored into each reservation on the online booking.

  • Please understand if you arrive with more than the maximum capacity allowed for a site, the excess number of people will be asked to leave. (Calling us ahead of time when your plans have changed is the ONLY way to avoid this situation.)


*ARRIVAL/DEPARTURE:

   CAMPERS:

  • Check in is at 1 pm.

  • We usher all folks to their sites and appreciate your patience while going through this process. If it appears assistance is needed with backing your vehicle in, we will intervene, at no liability to us, to protect our property and the property of other campers.

  • Please bring your license plate state, number, and make of auto info to check in.

  • OFFICE UNATTENDED: Office is closed between 11-1 PM We eat lunch, clean the shower house, and prepare sites.

  • EARLY CHECK IN: If you come in before 1 PM, do not go down to your site. Please call 207-233-0099 and we will try our best to get you checked in.

  • DUMP STATION UPON ARRIVAL: if your septic tank is full and you are not on a full hook up site a charge of $12.50 will be applied to your check in tab.

  • Check out is at 11 am.

    • Please leave your site as you found it. Fires doused. All trash in receptacles.

    • If you aren't checked out of your site by 11 AM an additional charge of $20/hour will be assessed until you have vacated the site or if available purchased the site for the additional night.                          

     

   RENTAL UNITS:

  • Check in is at 3 PM. Checkout is at 10 AM. Leave key in the office.

*SITE/AGE REQUIREMENT:

  • 21 and older to register.

  • No one under the age of 18 to be left without a legal adult at their campsite.
     

​*PAYMENT TERMS AND CONDITIONS:

  • ​All owed balances must be paid upon arrival.

  • Checks, cash, and bank transfers are the preferred form of payment. Credit cards are accepted as part of our online booking and in house transactions.

  • Credit Cards transactions that result in a cancellation of a reservation there is no refund on the credit card fee.

  • If booking for 3 nights or less payment in full is requested

  • A deposit of 1/2 the total price of your stay is required for all reservations over 4 nights,

  • When a customer has made a check deposit and wants a refund, Acadia Seashore will refund with a check and offer regular or certified mail delivery at a customer cost of $7.50. At that point, if a check should become lost by the post office, Acadia Seashore shall not be held accountable for the missing funds. If the camper wishes to pay the stop payment on the check, Acadia Seashore will oblige.

 

​*COMMUNICATION:

  • Email is our primary way to communicate with you. It is imperative that you understand if we send you an email, and you fail to acknowledge it, we are NOT accountable for your not reading mail from us.

 

​*RECEIVING MAIL AND PACKAGES:

  • All mail or packages need to have "Acadia Seashore Camping" in the top line of the address and then your name as secondary. Example:

                       Attn: Joe Blow
                       2695 US HWY 1
                       Sullivan, Maine 04664 

  • If mail is sent here with your name and no Acadia Seashore Camping, you are now living here and we will not forward future mail. It will become "return to sender."

 

​*VISITORS:

Registered campers must notify the office of incoming friends and family. If the office is closed, PLEASE call or text to let us know you have a visitor coming by.

  • All visitors MUST register at the office and provide id.

  • No more than 6 people at any site at any time.  Excess number of people will be asked to leave.

  • Day Visitors: park in guest parking and leave by 8 pm.

  • Overnight Visitors: $6 per person per day, park in guest parking and leave by 11 am.

  • The fee can be paid in advance/after by the registered camper for visit.

 

*PHOTOS HELP:

  • See something you think is not kosher? Take a photo.... send it to us and we'll address it! We want you to be happy and our campground to run smoothly! ​*DUMPING:

  • Arriving at the campground with full tanks and needing to dump - $12.50.

  • Dumping of gray or black water ANYWHERE except the dump station is ILLEGAL in the State of Maine and is grounds for dismissal at the campground.

 

*QUIET HOURS:

  • Definition of Quiet time: Time in which outside lights, music, TVs are to be turned off.

  • 9:30 pm to 8 am. (Fair warning: we walk the campground at 9:30 pm and may knock on your door to remind you of the quiet hours)

  • Sitting around the fire, admiring the night sky, and enjoying each other’s company in low voice tones IS strongly encouraged.

  • Definition of Bedtime: A time when you deem it necessary to get ample rest for the following day.

 

​*FAMILY/FRIENDS GROUPS OR GATHERINGS:

  • Sites 32-38, 40-43, A-G or the Primitive tent site (P1 or P2) locations are the only areas where exceeding the site limit is possible with booking arrangements.  

  • Parties or large gatherings of any kind on any other sites are strictly prohibited.

  • NO GATHERINGS OF MORE THAN 6 people at a RV site to day visit and 4 people maximum at tent sites at any given time.

  • 3 sites together maximum unless in the designated group sites listed above.

*COMMUNAL WATERFRONT AREA:

  • PLEASE do not cut through sites to access the communal area. Stay on the gravel road.

  • The communal waterfront area is open for ALL campers. You are welcome to bring your own chair or use one of ours to sit on the grassy waterfront and admire the Cadillac View.

 

​*MUSIC:

  • Because of the varying tastes and likes, music needs to be kept to a minimum, if not at all, and off by 9:30 pm.

  • All musicians are free to preform (play or practice) in the communal area.

  • No performance gatherings are to be held at a campsite.

 

​​*ELECTRIC CARS:

  • $30/charge/instance

  • There are no charging cars at your campsite.

  • Designated charging station is located near the office.

*DISH WASHING:

  • No dumping gray water on the ground. Please use the 3 bay sink at the shower house to do dishes.

  • All food scraps, grease, etc. MUST be put in the trash can provided, not down the drain.

 

*PORTA POTTY:

  • Not permitted.

 

​*WATER ACCESS:​

  • Please use the stairs to access the waterfront, between sites 8 and 9 and refrain from climbing the banking. Erosion is a serious problem.

 

*TENT CAMPING:​

  • Tarps - are only permissible during rain showers and are not to remain on tents for any duration.

  • 1-week maximum stay time.

 

​​*COURTESY:

  • Car or RV washing is not permitted.

  • Sleeping hammocks and clothes lines are permitted only to be strung in trees located in the primitive sites, not on the waterfront as the trees struggle to stay on the banking as it is. 

  • Do not cross through another campsite.

  • Campsites are designed to support a relaxed quiet around the fire conversation.

  • All activities such as corn hole, etc., may be played at your site as long it doesn’t interfere with neighboring campers.

 

*SAFETY:

  • Any injuries or accidents that require medical attention need to be reported to the office.

  • DRIVE SLOWLY follow posted limit on campground. 

  • Bike riding during daylight hours only. Helmets for children under 12. No speeding.

  • Only 1 family (2 adults and 2 children under 18), one car per campsite, unless otherwise approved.

  • Motorbikes, electric skateboards, scooters, ATV’s and golf carts are not permitted to be driven on the campground Only designated handicapped person is permitted to operate handicap scooter.

  • Parents are not to leave children under 18 alone or unsupervised (which includes in the camp store.)

  • Waterfront is only accessible via the stairs located between sites 8 and 9.

  • Due to the natural surroundings, walking along the shoreline is at your own risk.

  • There is no lifeguard on duty. Swimming is at your own risk.

  • Do not allow your children to play in the road.

 

​​*FIRE:

  • Fire is dangerous. Please fully douse fire out when unattended.

  • Flames no more than 2 feet are permitted.

  • Use of fire is always at your own risk.

  • Do not move the fire rings.

  • Fireworks, air soft, pellet or paintball guns are not permitted on campground property.

 

​*TRASH & RECYCLE:

  • All trash must be bagged and put in the dumpster including clam and lobster shells.

  • Recycle all bottles and cans in designated area.

 

​*LAUNDRY HOUSE:

  • Open between 8 am - 9 pm (last load allowed at 7:30)

  • There are 2 washers and 2 dryers.

  • $7.00 per load (wash and dry) not coin operated.

  • Please pay in the office for use.

 

​*PET POLICIES – DOGS, CATS, BIRDS, ETC.

  • Must be under control (leashed and minimal noise) and always cleaned up after (even the beach area).

  • Do not leave pets unattended in RV/camper/tents.

  • Please do not chain your pet to any campground buildings, trees, or property.

  • 2 dogs per site maximum

  • No cockatiels, parrots, or loud vocal birds 

  • Aggressive dogs are NOT allowed. If your dog attacks ANYTHING you will be asked to leave the campground WITHOUT REFUND. The safety of other campers and their pets are our #1 priority.

 

*SHOWER HOUSE:

  • Shower house is cleaned between 11-1 daily.

  • Please be sure to turn off the water and lights when you are done.

  • Report any immediate cleaning needed in bathrooms.

  • NON-GUESTS USING THE SHOWER HOUSE WILL BE CONSIDERED TRESPASSING AND PROSECUTED.       (Cameras track auto's entering the park at all hours.)

 

*DRONES:

  • Not permitted to fly over campground. The wildlife (eagles & osprey) and guests prefer not to be buzzed.

​*IS THAT DOG POOP?:

  • If you are staying with us during the month of May, you may observe random, frequent piles of poop. Canadian Geese are the culprits. We are part of their migrating route and in general the rain typically takes care of their waste. Not to worry, the poop is 90% water and not as hazardous as one might think.

 

*GENERATORS:

  • Not permitted.

 

​*SMOKING:

  • Whether cigarettes or marijuana, it is preferable that all smoking be conducted off the campground. We understand the necessity and will allow intermittent use. However, if use is excessive and results in complaints from neighboring campers’ further measures may and will be taken.

 

​*THE BOTTOM LINE:

  •  NO LIABILITY: GUEST HEREBY INDEMNIFIES, RELEASES AND HOLDS CAMPGROUND, ITS OFFICERS, OWNERS, EMPLOYEES AND AGENTS (THE “CAMPGROUND PARTIES”) HARMLESS FROM ANY PROPERTY DAMAGE, PERSONAL INJURY, CLAIMS, CAUSES OF ACTION, DAMAGES, LOSS, EXPENSES, AND/OR LIABILITIES (HEREAFTER COLLECTIVELY, “LOSS”) ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO GUEST’S USE OF THE CAMPSITE, THE PROPERTY AND/OR ANY CONDITION THEREON. THE PARK SHALL NOT BE LIABLE TO THE GUEST FOR ANY DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF ANY ACTIONS OR NEGLIGENCE ON THE PART OF ANY OTHER CAMPGROUND GUEST OR RESIDENT OR THEIR FAMILIES, AGENTS, EMPLOYEES, OR INVITEES. GUEST AGREES TO PAY THE CAMPGROUND FOR ANY DAMAGES CAUSED BY GUEST, GUEST’S FAMILY, AGENTS, INVITEES OR EMPLOYEES.

  • Acadia Seashore management reserves the right to remove, without refund, any guests that violate any of the above rules or policies.
